Introduction to Academic Reading and Writing is designed to help university students improve essential academic reading and writing skills. In this course, you will learn effective strategies for comprehending and analyzing texts to improve critical reading. Moreover, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the writing process, paragraph organization, the structure, content, and organization of academic writing in English. Throughout the duration of the course, you will engage in reading and writing activities/ exercises, discussion which aim to develop strategies for academic reading, paragraph and essay construction, and revising and editing your writing. The main goals of the course are to help students develop:
